CELINE'S Most Memorable Childhood Memory
My most memorable childhood took place when I was five. My family members decided to go to Club Med at Bintan for a holiday. We went there by ship. That was my first time taking a ship. Though the trip was pretty short, my brother and I felt nauseous while on the ship as the waves were very inconsistent.
Half an hour later, we arrived at Bintan. Our jaws dropped upon seeing the wonderful resort. We were all very excited and could not wait to get to the hotel. Grabbing our bags, my cousins and I raced to the hotel room which we were assigned. I snatched the bed next to the window, where I could get a bird’s eye view of the deep blue sea.
It was about time to go to bed so as to have enough energy for the next day.
Hugging my soft toy tightly, I fell asleep. The night passed really quickly and it was time for us to wake up. We changed to our sports attire a prepared for the brand new day. We were briefed by three instructors about the rules and regulations in the compound.
My first item was the flying trapeze. I hung on to the bar very tightly as I was very afraid at my first try. When I could not hold on any longer, they pulled the harness and I fell onto the net. Subsequently, I tried many times and at the fifth try, I managed to do a frontward flip. My relatives clapped for me and I was extremely proud of myself.
The subsequent days of the trip also brought lots of joy to my family members. At the end of the trip, we were given a medal each. I was crowned the ‘Best Trapeze Flyer’.
I enjoyed my trip and really hope to go there again as it had brought me wonderful and unforgettable memories.
